MARMAPS partners and associated organisations commit to protect and conserve the valuable Black Sea environment and its living resources.
The goal is to preserve biodiversity and natural heritage, and to enhance understanding and collaboration to improve the governance, management effectiveness and ecological resilience of marine protected areas within the Black Sea region.
To this end, we are launching a Black Sea Initiative for Promoting Marine Conservation. Any interested party can join the Initiative by signing an Endorsement letter.
The Initiative’s first practical step is an online forum for cross-border information and good practices exchange during spring 2026.
